As the area's only complete Nordic center, Snowflake offers 15 km of trails ranging from beginner to expert. The trails are consistently groomed, and five kilometers are lit. A warm chalet awaits the skier after a great ski.

Heritage Park and Nature Center
The Heritage Park and Nature Center is on 92 acres of forest, prairie and wetlands. There are three miles of trails to explore with activities like hiking, skiing, fishing and snowshoeing. The nature center has many displays of local plant and animals.

Wirth Winter Recreation Area is the largest regional park in Minneapolis. During the winter, Wirth offers cross-country skiing, snow tubing, snowboarding and snowshoeing. There is also a chalet available for warming-up, snacks or equipment rentals. Snowboarding and cross-country skiing lessons are also offered.
